The 1999 or 1997 and newer Dakota have nearly no room to get to the distributor to rig a timing adjustable on the fly, so since the heater core was missing on my 99 Dakota I have to pull the dash to get to the heater core on these years Dakota’s., long story short, here is my spot to make distributor timing addjuable, it will get a plate screwed over the access hole later,or bolted if I use spacer plate to get around the nuts holding the bolts in pointing into the inside of cab would be more easy remove and replace. I plan on making the heater core so can be removed easy to get to timing access plate.ANYWAY, I think it is getting heavy, my leaf springs are really saging DOWN. No problem I may put a 3/4 axel under it and I have a 360 motor that will give the extra boost in power for all my heavy drums I used, so far only paint that got burnt off was from my muffler heat exchanger.and a little paint ware the heat come out of the burn tube into the heat exchanger. No other thrills till this Jule is pouring with timing adjustable. And heater core working with regular 12 volt heater blower.
. hopefully Lord willing, this year Dakota will fix the timing problem of lifters rattling do to out of time for wood gas.A and I will post my results ASAP. My data on my cell phone is low , it will be 2 weeks before I get a better internet company. Last reply before around July 6th timeframe,or before I can video my timing on the Dakota road test.
