That starlite stuff seems like it would work great to ptotect a nearby area while welding or soldering.

My attempt to make this home made Starlite was so good that the dog ate my other larger bit i had left out drying in the sun , only noticed some crumbs left under the table and a very sheepish looking dog laying on his bed , was a worrying time waiting for him to go poop ! least now i have some fire protection down in the bush
