Here are some wild turkeys which i hadn’t seen since they were little. I had a bald eagle eating woodchuck carrion the other day and it was too skittish for me to get a picture.
Not much new to write about, fall is here, trees changing color.
Took a trip on wood with the Chevy today, pulled a trailer real good.
Just thought i should post a update on my “water-welder” i mentioned a while ago. Built it this week, and tested today, it actually works!
I put everything on a cart to make it easy to move. Looks really funny
“Control panel” with volt and ampere meters, the ampere meter burned out before it even lighted up.
Ammeter shunt, and first bubbler.
Well, i need to improve the flame arrestor, if turning down the current, the flame creeps back to second bubbler, BANG! this is powerful stuff
Second test, lighted the torch too early, before gas production stabilized, BANG! i need to build a sturdier second bubbler, with a explosion relief valve, or put a supply of clean underwear handy in my experiment area.
Updates will follow if someone is interested?
I’ve never even heard of a water welder. I’ll have to look that up.
yes, i am interested, keep posting, Goran.
i have lot of surplus DC every now and then and would like to learn brazing.
Same wishes for you too, Tone
Hello,
I’m having an issue with the premium library; only the first link works. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Thanks
P.S.: Very lovely landscape, Tone
David,
The link to the construction photo album gives an error. I just randomly checked some other links, most are working, some (like in “welding”) do not. ![]()
Thanks Mike,
For my part, only the first one works; I’ll ask Chris about it.
