Diesel conversion to 100% chargas

Another question. What is this?

as the machine has only one seat for the driver, this is a stand platform for the co-pilot (my wife)

oil bath filter…the motor has a strong suction, therefore the throttle has shown a very little bit of dust, so we added the original oil bath filter, entrance modyfied…

meanwhile we harvest energy, spain, portugal and parts of france have a electric blackout…life goes on…crisis resistant systems become always more important…
we worked a bit on regulation settings, now runs very smooth…and starts on the first draw with the rope…

the fabric on the foto is not the actual, becomes a bit more in diameter…

the hair filter contents some cm water in the bottom, this should keep up the umidity in the hair

Back to basic Georgio, it will work forever!

Giorgio, thanks for the pictures. Charcoal is a good fuel, it lasts literally forever, there is no danger of tar during gasification, but it also has its drawbacks. It is necessary to dose water into the process, there is more ash and dust in the gas, so a good filter is needed. In my opinion, sheep wool is an ideal filter medium, it does not absorb much water, but the drops hang on the fibers, which gives it the ability to capture practically all the fine dust and ash. It is also easy to rinse this dust with water and you can use the wool again as a filter.

Giorgio, does your Pasquali have a PTO shaft output that would allow you to drive a specific device (generator, circular saw, hydraulic pump) while the machine is stationary? A small hydraulic arm saves your back and allows you to lift heavy loads,…

in the bottom of the hair filter housing is a gas stream reverser, here i will try a very high water level in way the gas stream nearly touches the water surface and keeps the filter material umid

spark plug after 8 hours running time…seems good

not all tool less closing systems keep with vibrations, so some hole drilled and the "key " (what is the right word don? ) from the angle grinder is very useful

today we tried the sheep wool, the wool was obviously too dry, and the water level in the bottom of the filter too low, so the wool remains relatively dry…

the sheep wool was dirty in the bottom - see foto, and after half height clean, but a look at the throttle shows that some fine dust travels through wool and also oil bath filter with regular filling height…
today it runs 5 hours…
what you think about the throttle…?
in a historic paper from mercedes benz truck charcoal from around 1940 they said that their filtering is as good as possible…will this say not really all can be filtered out?..

“key” works for me Gorgio.

This graph “explains” what actually happened. You can see a large increase in electricity generated from solar systems, which caused a surge and “swept” the grid frequency (50 Hz) too high, the protection systems were activated and disconnected the connection. The large daily fluctuations in the generated energy need to be compensated, otherwise similar phenomena will often occur in the future, but unfortunately, we do not have a suitable solution.

Batteries! Or low tech like Georgio. That lasts longer for sure.
We had some seconds off too. My sun works in a factory and all the machines had to restart. We were lucky. This will happen more in the future, to whole grid can collaps.
At the moment my inverter is programmed to only load with solar and take 5 kW max out of the grid. Every time another battery is ready, grid is lowered. Nice test to see if we can self sustain during the next six months.

It’s also interesting that nuclear power disappeared for at least the rest of the day.

Yes, I noticed that too. Difficult and almost impossible to scale down so fast. I was wondering how they feld in that powerplant.
Gas and wind is much easier to scale down. PV should too. My inverter ramps up frequency when pv has to stop. Didnt see them cut out yet. On voltage they do.
