Is it this implement you mean?
In Swedish it’s called “energiklipp” =energy cutter, because it’s mostly is used for harvesting thin biomass, for chipping for big central heating plants.

Just because I haven’t been posting doesn’t mean I haven’t been picking up obtainium!

This is the end of a dock plate from work that cracked at the hinge, it’s some very tough steel. Don’t know if it’s hard faced or high carbon or what. 20lb propane tank for scale.

Hi Tom, good question, gaskets i cut from paper, gasket material, leather, rubber, some could be re-used with some “Permatex” (that tar-smelling compound, containing shellac and stuff, one could never wash it from fingers)
Shaft-seals, much is available new, often i have to modify stuff, milling holes bigger, or build a “adaptor”/spacer.
Diaphragms are another story, luckily mostly is from same manufacturers, Tillotson, Walbro. (Sometimes i replace a carb to a slightly newer/ more common model.
It is also possible to cut out a smaller diaphragm from a bigger new one (this needs an “angels patience”)
There is also diaphragm material to buy, only problem is i could only buy 1×1,5 meters, which would cost me 1650$, but i’ve been in touch with the company, and they could send me a product sample next time they cut out some.

My profoundest respect that you can do that kind of work Goran. My father was that kind of detail oriented. He didn’t pass on the gene. Recently had a cracked fuel line in my Stihl MS271. I don’t know if I had to pull the fuel tank off but I did. This is a 2 piece fuel line and the top hose was badly crimped and the bottom hose in the tank was split so I found a replacement on Amazon. Of course it wasn’t the right one even though the one’s they showed in the picture looked the same. No point in going through the hassle to return it. Should have known by the cheap price that it was going to be NG. Now I have to try and locate some OEM part at a local Stihl dealer. That ought to be fun.

I have had good luck with buying Stihl parts from Bailey online before. I bought an engine kit for an O34 years ago from them. Though i actually traded the saw and kit with my best friend before installing it. Ironically he still has that say it has cut an absolutely insane amount of wood my late uncle bought it new and i literally wore out the motor. Back when that saw was new it cut about 30 cords of wood a year for heating.
Anyway Bailey online would be my first guess for those parts. I don’t have a good stihl dealer here.

That’s the bottom line that goes into the tank Dan. That flap on the end seals the opening to the gas tank and then a 90 degree plastic elbow fits into that followed by another line that connects to the carb. All very convoluted. I guess that why it has all the lumps on it. More complex than any other saw I’ve worked on. I’ll look at the Bailey’s site and see if they have both parts. Thanks. We do have a couple Stihl dealers but they are about 20 miles away. No big deal to a sane person but I prefer to not go out among the populous if I can avoid it. 🤮

That looks like the part Sean. All the bends seem necessary so just regular fuel line can’t be used. I think I’ll shop a little. $25 for a gamble seems steep. I have had some bad luck ordering chainsaw parts on-line.

Well there you go TomH.
Online order, face-less, and maybe have to try 2-3 times . . . (good luck returning!).
Or drive in; and face-to-face; letting them eat the mistakes.

My Wife does the on-line/Amazon chase.
I “like” the driving arounds keeping small merchants brick&mortars stores still alive.

And we both think the other is bat-shit crazy.
In truth we both do both. Just which to try first.
