Keith Green.
If the name means anything to you, it is likely because of his late 70’s/early 80’s Jesus Music; a really gifted musician who died in a 1982 airplane crash at age 28. However, prior to that he recorded a song lamenting the breakup of The Beatles. I suspect the reason I like this song so much as it is so different from anything else he did. But I think I’d still like it even if I had no idea who he was…it’s a pretty cool song.

Last week I shared Keith Green. This week I’d like to talk about Phil Keaggy, perhaps the best guitarist you’ve likely not heard of. The link between the two is the title track from Phil’s second album, _Love Broke Thru_ was written by Keith.
Keaggy will always hold a special place in my collection, as my first LP was one of his and MANY records later, he remains a favorite. His music has run the gamut from Rock to Jazz, Praise and Worship to quiet instrumental, but a nice introduction might be his killer cover of Badfinger’s _[Baby Blue](https://piped.video/watch?v=ivKFeRVzjiI)_ or The Beach Boys’ _[Good Vibrations](https://piped.video/watch?v=Y9ZnTKZPN5w)_. Here’s a pretty cool [instrumental jam](https://piped.video/watch?v=0T3to3DHLIE), all the more amazing when you realize he’s missing a finger! Started out sounding like some sophisticated “drawing-room” music, but then they got with it. The lead guitar player must be know as “fast fingers” The 2nd guitar player is pretty quick too.

It’s just starting here. I hate to see the trees all bare naked but for a couple of weeks in October the leaves will blanket the ground and when the sun is on them very few things could be more spectacular here in our little woods.

I don’t think that tractor missed a beat. I played the accordian from age 7 until 13. Old ladies liked it but not the chicks. I switched to guitar.

This song reminds me of Senor Wayne driving around his pasture tending Cows. You have to substitute Alabam for Rio Grande and Wood Gas Dodge for Ford V-8 and it’s tailor made.

Haha! Thank you, Tom.
After burning 150 pounds of wood daily, yesterday temps suddenly climbed to just a few degrees below freezing. Instead more snow started to fall. I’d really like thaw for a few days - to get a sturdy crust - not rake gravel onto the lawn. Lucky to always have something to complain about.
