Mechanic, welder/fitter, wood worker, inventor, all round do-it-yourself kind of guy. I ran across a wood gas thing (something like a F.E.M.A. 1-6) in Quang Nam Province, Vietnam in 1969. Ever since then I have been scratching my head wondering how to build/make one of these machines. Well with a little help form high speed internet and Wayne Keith and Chris Saenz, Drive on Wood, I spent 400 hours in 01/2014 building one just to find out why I should not have. Very good learning exercise, it did produce OK gas, glad I went there first! I also have experience in designing /building wood stoves, small hydro electric systems, passive solar hot water systems. I am currently building a 12” X 18” fire tube for a 1994 Dodge Dakota, 4 X 4. “Living Life here in North Idaho”
