Retired on May, 2016 after 48 years with a large Engineering company working primarily as a heavy construction inspector. Projects were airports, highways, water and sewer treatment plants and a light rail tunnel.
I am a pilot and have over 4000 hours in my Cessna 172.
I studied Mother Earth News in the 70,s and built several fuel alcohol systems, making 5 gallons/day, and modified several vehicles to run on it,
I also built a wood gas system on a 65 GMC truck and drove it about 1000 miles but after the 3rd time of stuck valves parked it.
Installed 500' of 6" pipe with 12' of head driving a 6' dia water wheel. But 3/4 HP of DC current was more of a hobby but the system ran for about 5 years.
My first venture into a public forum started in 2014 with the wonders of YOU TUBE where I stumbled onto some of Wayne Keith's posts.
Bought the book , upgraded to premium and have been having a ball.
