# Website upgrade in progress

Hi folks, the website is undergoing some much needed upgrades over the next week or so. If you notice a maintenance mode page, that’s why. Disruptions are not expected to last more than a few hours at most.
Updates will be posted to the DOW backup mailing list ([see post here](http://forum.driveonwood.com/t/how-to-get-updates-if-dow-ever-goes-down/2894)).

Site was down from 7:00pm to 7:45pm. First round of updates is done, more to come.

Website was down this morning - the hard drive was full! We are switching to a bigger one this weekend. **The site will be down for a couple hours** at that time (not sure when yet).
On the bright side, we have had no crashes of the previous sort since we increased the server’s horsepower.
This was a planned upgrade, so running low on space just forced our hand a bit.

Don, Drive On Wood pays to keep it all running. It’s not enormously expensive, and book sales have (so far) covered the costs.
If it ever comes down to it, we’ll take up a collection. Won’t be necessary for the foreseeable future.
