CWG Compressed wood gas

Does anyone know if woodgas compression for storage in a steel container is possible or if it has been tried: Info or links?

Joe: I believe that woodgas has a fairly low energy/mass compred to propane etc. From what I’ve read around here, it can be done but doesn’t pay out due to thevast volumes of woodgas needed.

Hi JoeT.
Look at the top lefthand side bar.
Type into the Search window “compressing woodgas”.
Whole bunch already been put up about this. Anyone having done this willing to speak up do not anymore.
Read. And you decide.

Welcome here.

Hi Joe,

Yes the volume of gas needed to get anywhere would be immense. Even highly compressed you’d only get a couple miles out of it.

This question and several others are answered in the FAQ section, check it out!

Okay.I’m pretty much a newbe but thanks for your replies
