after a month after use the horse hair was yet umid, how it should be and no problems with mouldering …the filter is immediately ready for starting with the right umidity for dust collecting

we made a ignition hole for the gasifier with coal pusher, unfortunately foto upload not works more…also with windows 11…the old forum system was definitively better…sorry

Too bad there’s no picture… Is the opening through which you light the fire at the level of the air nozzle? Or do you push the pieces of glowing charcoal directly into the air nozzle’s intake area?

Giorgio, I like your design. The start up valve bypass is great. I will add that to my filter that has the same water bubbler to filter out the char dust. Mine uses hay for its medium for filtering the charcoal gases.

the hopper ignition port works fine, so hopper level must not digged out till nozzle height for another ignition…only leaving the dust from the hearth area. doing this there remains a “bridge” of fuel thanks to the compactness of the hopper load by vibrations…poking than down the coal and igniting the coal at the igniting port…as i have positive pressure with my blower the glowing coal in the igniting port must be pushed with the coal pusher to the nozzle tip - see picture 1 left side

yesterday finished hay…pasquali on chargas with one of the heavy loads, and , yes the metal hay ladders were ready just in time some days before beginning…
