Kristijan, what kind of driving was able to cause the rim damage? I see no sidewaks around your property
Reverse driving on a narrow forrest path tilted uphill with a minefeald of rocks and stumps on the right and a mountain forrest steep only a goat can climb but what l didnt say is thats the second one on this road this year. Third all together. Luckly l got a load of free rims with old tires a while ago, but at this pace l might run out before winter
And here I thought it might have something to do with that Slovenian āred bullāā¦
Ever since l visited the North family last year l wanted to have a garden for my house porch. Who knew the dream wuld come true so fast! Only instead of building a garden around a house l dug a house right in the cabbage patch
Time to make the drainige and pour a slab!
Kristijen do you ever sleep?
Looks good K. Do you own the machine I have seen it in previous pics?
The excavator? No, all l own is a pick and 2 shovels
Wich will both be used today. I have a few hours of manual digging to do to correct the finishing touches.
Hahaha, thatās too funny
Iām sorry, but I just couldnāt stop laughing for a long time.
Kristijan, remember itās worth a lot not owning and avoiding maintence on equipment you donāt need very often. You do the right thing to hire him in.
Yes, lets also not forget that Kristijan seems to be able to keep working 24/7, and that for all intents and purposes, he is and excavator. I wonder if he catches little bits of sleep during the down-stroke of the pick, or as he is raising it up for another go.
Seriously though, I am very impressed with your progress. Looking forward to hearing about the plans for the new house!
JO, l agree. Althugh a excavator is probably one thing l will need to invest in in the futue. There is so many roads to fix, stumps to digg out etc such a investment wuld be feasable. But first the house.
I laugh at small āfarmersā investing tens of thousands of $ in machinery just for raising one or 2 cows. Mostly retired people with a hard time adding 2+2 together fullfilling their young days fantasys. I get that, its a hobbyā¦ But l allso know young people doing 2 full time jobs+ farming to pay off their machinery debt. And keeping buying biger better new stuff! Taking loans to pay loansā¦ sad.
Me, l can scythe and roll logs on a pickup bed instead to produce hay for our few goats and rabbits and to feed the stove. Dont realy need a tracor, mower, fluffer, rower, hay loader, winch, log spliter, dump trailorā¦
Carl, thats funny l wuld need a lot of beer for that to happen
True, it does not matter how much you make, it is how much you spent.
Kristijan, I agree with all the above. Thatās why I liked your pick and shovel comment so much
@Pelletpower Very true. Also, much less effort cutting costs than earning the same amount.
Yes, and the other way around. We have no trouble what so ever to spend what is coming in. Always shortā¦ But happy. Money has to roll, that is why it is invented.
Sorry Kristian, impressive what you accomplished.
What is that sheeting for? looks good.
Jakob, its hydro insulation. Its basicly tar foil you lay under the concreete slab and on the sides to prevent moisture to creep in
Insulated slab? (Floor heating)
Tar, concrete, 2"rock wool and floor concreete on top. I am all in to floor heating but it will be preety useless here. We do all the cooking on a wood stove and experiances say for a house like that just the cooking stove is too much heat.
tell me about it. Now that I own a skid steer, everyone wants to use itā¦and we get to take care of it.
Yeah but heās still young. Didnāt we all work like that at his age?
Wait til his children look like mine and he wonāt work as hard as I used to either.
Ya I know all about that one!
