I don’t see that it would be difficult they keep breeding like rabbits on my farm i can’t get rid of them. They moved in probably over 30 years ago when something drove the rats out of the cow barn and have been a nuances ever since.

Personally i would look at chickens or guinea hens first. Then rabbits if i wanted to raise something for small scale meat. Chickens will help control flies and give you eggs. Guinea will help keep ticks under control i need to get more of them because the Chickens don’t get the job done but Guinea don’t lay eggs where you can find them and are loud. Rabbits while i have not raised them are supposed to be one of the easiest to keep for food.

we have both laying hens and meat birds, also turkeys, and geese in the bird department. Dan, once pigeons fledge they will always return to where they were raised. I agree that they can be a barn problem. kent
