So sorry for your loss, Kristijan
Kritijan,
Good to hear from you. Sorry to hear of your father’s passing. It must be difficult. May the Lord help you to deal with the loss. Congratulations on the birthday.
Sorry about your loss Kristijan, don’t be a stranger though. And happy birthday!
I think they mean “beer 30”, which means it is time to drink beer at 30 after the hour.
We have a song with a five in the clock
Well if it is 5 on the clock with the shorthand, you guys are slow…
I suspect, it is 5 with the big hand and you start 5 minutes early to beat the americans.
Just a quicky - stopping for draining condensation. Unfortunately I happened to accedently shut the camera off just before draining the big load of smelly stuff.
The Volvo has been sitting indoors for a few days and warmed up. I’ve been doing some maintence - replacing the exhaust $$ among other things, but I’ve been patching the old one up to the point where it was beyond repair.
I have now been pulled over by the police 5 times since 2016 when I started to DOW. That’s more than I’ve experienced during my first 30 years of driving.
Woodgas seems to attract ladies Two good looking blond girls, young enough that they didn’t know woodgas existed, wanted my attention. Unfortunately they passed on posing for the camera, but agreed to turn the blue lights back on for the visual effect
- which in turn didn’t turn out very well. Well, well…
I can imagine the conversation.
I managed to educate them in some woodgas history, as well as the chemical reactions involved. They actually seemed genuinly interested - well, that was at least my wishful intrerpretation You can imagine I loved the attention
. I was almost late for work.
Yes of course. And then , lights please and sound please . Only checking if they still function of course.
So sorry to hear about your father. I pray that his memory will be a blessing to your family and friends. I ask the Yehovah Almighty God to give you all his love and confort and grant you all peace in this time. Yeshua Name.
What Tone said in his thread - running the woodburner almost every day. Mostly short 10 mile trips, or at least within a hopper’s range (50 miles). I don’t recall doing a roadside refill since summertime.
Days are getting longer and I took the oppertunity to waste some camera MB while the sun shines.
Parked next to another Volvo in town. I think I can tell which one is mine when I get back
Your Volvo has style JO. Especially the perfectly fit hopper. I never knew if the thing on the roof was for storing fuel. I think it would make an affordable coffin. The white bread SUV next to it could just have well been a Subaru or a Nissan, Jeep, Chevy, VW. They all look pretty much the same which is to say boring. I have nightmares when I come out of a store and can’t distinguish ours from all the other ones in a big parking lot and get all panicky. They are the vehicle of choice here in the snow belt.
Good morning JO and thanks for the video .
Just about all you said is true for me also.
Driving just about everyday and the last road side fill up was last May coming back from the woodgas gathering in Kentucky .
Haha, that’s funny. My father has been moaning for 20 years, telling me to save some good loocking boards for his coffin when I’m milling. Maybe I should offer him the ski-box
The subject is one of his favorites. When he talks to someone his age and they mention future plans, he likes to pick up his tape meassure and put his right thumb on 83 (avarage male life expectancy in Sweden). Adding his left thumb on the number of their age he says: “To the left is how long we lived and the gap between the thumbs is what’s left. We’d better hurry up.”
Some people like that kind of humor - some don’t
Sounds like my kind of dude JO. I think I’m past the average life expectancy for males in the US. Not sure but don’t care either. Probably never going to get all my projects done. Too stupid to not keep adding new ones to the list. If you lived a full life and hopefully didn’t screw to many people over then the end just means not having to face another winter like this one.
Tom, it a nice looking ski storage box on top of the Volvo, probably no skis being stored and hauled around in it I’m sure. Hummm…got wood maybe. Other then the barrel coming out of the top of the trunk lid, I is pretty stealthy looking Volvo. Good job JO.
That’s right. Bags of chunks was my thinking. Or maybe store the bags inside the car and m-in-law in the box
Btw Bob, I do ski - even though last time was three or four years ago
I have heared of a case where grandma dyed on vaitacion and they just put her in this coffin and drove her over the border
Reminds me of the old Chevy Chase movie
