Hope everyone’s Christmas was a Merry one and to everyone may your New Year bring Blessings and Joy!!
Its been a few months since my last post and as usual life got in the way again, my little hobby shop has turned into a full time business keeping local farmers going. Sold the 5.0 engine and transmission I was going to use for sport trac… and in process of installing a used transmission to get it ready to sell. I am considering getting my Kalamazoo speed truck ready to sell as well…will come with Generator and mig welder, torch set and tanks and a mobile stick welder mounted…has the electric winch and controls… will make someone a nice mobile welding unit. I am 72 now…don’t do a lot of mobile welding as most of the farmers either have welders and would rather I do the welding or they bring it to my shop. with my gardening that I keep increasing size, my new hobby of growing Fig trees for resale, and 2 green houses, plus my newest gasifier project a 1955 Studebaker 3/4 ton pickup with a 185 flathead 6cyl. only 66k miles…needs lots of sheet metal work coming from rust belt area…was in storage for 35 years before I got it…with some love freed up a couple stuck valves, new head gasket…this thing starts when you bump the key and runs perfect. someone put new shoes and drums all the way around and I just put new brake lines and hoses on it… spent 2k on all the rust repair panels soon to be installed it runs and is driveable… its a head turner now,but after the sheet metal work and the gasifier…should be a trophy winner at the local car shows.

My dad had one like that when I was 12 years old and I remember the low low low granny gear. The truck would hardly move at half throttle. I think it had a 10 foot bed.
