Its supposed to be livermoosh. With one difference, l boiled the pig head together with the liver, to use whats usefull off of it. Recepie calls for meat.
Also, l didnt grind the boiled meat, just blended it in a smoothie maker. Easyer to clean. Now thats some macho smoothie

Hey, this thing is good. Will make again and.

Also, l remembered there is a German thing called Lebercase (liver cheese) wich is nowdays just hod dog stuffing baked in trays and then sliced. But the name says to me its origins might be close to your livermoosh

It probably is from the Germans.

Many people give the Irish and Scottish credit in the Carolinas and Appalachia but there were just as many German diaspora very early on. One family name from my dad’s side is the Stamey family. Stonemasons from somewhere in Germany. Also lots of Swiss moved here as well, mostly Millwrights.

There also were the Heschen mercenaries left behind when the British were defeated.

Also don’t worry about the color, usually they add a caramel color at the facilities they make them in.

Edit: one neat fact about how to tell an old German farm in Appalachia from an Irish/English is how they keep their cattle. Germans built big barns to keep cattle warm, Irish just penned them up.

Cody, something I do for an airlock is to just vent into a plastic tube and put it into a bucket of water. Kent

I do that when I’m brewing anything bigger than 10 gallons, really helps it vent faster.

I like the fact that the jews held off 100 million miltants since 1948 , the bible proficied event, when they returned to isreil,- after over 2000 years of pericutions, and became the 3rd or fourth most capable military in the world since 1948-The bad thing is they get attacted by the whole worlfd at the end of this age.Just as JESUS and all the saved ones return in the cloulds too melt away the wicked from murdering the jews again- by the brightness of his return to his home land/ GODS SON creaated or recreated in human form.

Thats not a ideal practice. If you are not carefull to pull it out when fermentation is done, there can be a vacuum astablished in the fermentor and it can suck the water from the bucket

Was out for a night-trip photoing with wife, (stars and sky photos)
Asked her to snap a pic of me with this juniper-bush, wich is the biggest i ever known.

One can imagine how much fuel-wood this would make

or better for smoked meat…gives a excellent taste…

Yes, it would be a shame to make fuel/firewood out of this, i really hope this juniper somehow being protected from the environmental protection service, they seldom grow this big around where i live.
And as you say, sticks and twigs are great for smoking meat, gives an really good flavour.
And: wood artists/woodturners would pay gold for this…

And you can use the berries to flavour your Gin

Winter decided to show up again across the Washington State. We are back down into 20’s and 30’s °f temps.

The sad thing is I got wood, and the roads are clear but I will not be doing much in gasifier driving for a while or building it is all on hold.
My older Sister Connie has had some set backs since last month on January 27th from her stroke. They had to put her back in to icu isolation be cause of the Covid and she started to have seisures from the stroke she had.
Been busy in Moses Lake 70 miles away cleaning and fixing the her house up so when she is released from the rehab center in Spokane she might be able to go back home. We simply do not know at this point if this will happen. So all of our extra time is spent going to Spokane to see her or working on her house.
But Like I preached Family always comes first.
Keep the prayers coming for us all here. We will make it through this with Almighty YEHOVAH God’s help and your prayers. Thank you.
Bob

Life is short guys, but other people not paying attention could potentially make it a whole lot shorter

Snowing and blowing on my way home and had a guy run a stop sign and I t boned him hard. I was doing 45mph and that service truck weighs 13000lbs. I’m totally fine had my seat belt on, they other guy was in rough shape and was rushed to the hospital. Despite my anger at the situation and nothing I could do to get stopped (I saw him about 20’ before I came into the intersection) still send some prayers for the other driver please.
