It’s been a few years since I “came” to this forum, a lot of things have changed in my life since then, I can say that your “company” is one of the best you can find remotely… I won’t mention the individuals who are trying to maintain a positive atmosphere and transfer knowledge and experience… I can’t find any other words than to say thank you.
Tone,
I second the motion. I visit at lunch time and supper time everyday. You and the rest of the gang have been a tremendous help with one of the most interesting projects I’ve ever been involved in. Thanks to you all.
Well, a hug back to you as well Tone. Your posts and projects have helped to keep my gray matter from further calcifying. Of course the same can be said for the others here sharing their explorations. Remote contact is not so bad. Prevents me from going on long rants about the state of the world.
I think everyone has enjoyed your knowledge, skill and insight. seriously, I hope all is well with you and yours! I agree it is a pretty nice corner of the net especially for a fairly diverse group of people.
Now for the sarcasm.
I’ll guess, that you put the blinky lights on your tractor gasifier to spice it up, you accidentally left them on one night, and a UFO appeared and tried to beam it up! But the old fergie wasn’t having it, so it backfired, which caused the gasifier to backfire and shoot a flame that torched the spaceship out of the sky. So now you have a whole new pile of scrap metal to have fun with! I can’t wait to see what you do with unknown alloys and other stuff you found!
tone, this sounds as you will leave us…?
hope not ciao giorgio
Ahh, yes, Tone in many of our cultures your topic title is the polite beginning of saying goodbye; so-long; sayonara . . . .
I think you meant, “Thanks much guys for your companionship”.
The tone of this forum was set up by Chris Seanz and Wayne Kieth. Chris especially had previous experiences with just how and why most Internet exchange groups can go wild and become MMA octagon ring fights. One group previous actually did set up a category called this. I quit that group in disgust. One by one other quit too. That group died.
Another slippery slope is the University educated belief that vigorous demands for proof (peer discussions) will sort out the best of ideas and systems. Advancing the science.
Ha! Practical applied use wood-for-your-power is much more a hard learned experienced art-skill. Feel-smell-imagineering.
As you’ve experienced yourself.
So one of the strengths of the DOW is coaching along others to gain these experiences-skills for themselves.
Best Regards to you. You have demonstrated and taught much to me.

I have no intention of leaving your - our community, that would be like “giving up white bread”, I still have a lot to learn, … wood gas projects are waiting (unfortunately there is no time for that at the moment).
I started this topic with the intention of saying that you are a good community and that you are a good support at work, … let it not look like flattery, sometimes it is good to say out loud and praise good things and good people.
I would have to say that my knowage of gasifation with wood and charcoal and from all the other topic have be 100% gain in knowage thanks to you all. Also thank you for the best internatioal site in the world.
And I agree with Bob Mac 100%.
