After too many stalled attempts at building a gasifier for a specific purpose, I am going to try to just build a gasifier to make gas, and then try to figure out what it can power.
So far, I do know that it will be loosely based on the WK system, but smaller. I’m thinking roughly 5-6 inches diameter by about 12 inches tall for the main fire tube.
I plan to run it on a few fuel types to see what works. I realised that the previous owner of the house left us over a ton of hardwood pellets and the pellet stove in the house is fried from a lightning storm. My other options are screened alder wood chips from a local landscaping supply yard, and cubed (saw cut) pallet scraps.
