Videos not necessary wood gas related

Sure . . . a fellow can do this way-go-back.
There once was whole books written on engine/transmission swaps.

But it is actually far from a drop-in easy.
Motor and transmission mounts with made up support brakets. And will you then have loaded RPM vibrations?? Custom made drivelines. Have loaded driveline whip??

Has been done. Can be done. But only by the Persistent. By Real make-it-happen fellows.

I for a decade or so in the 1990’s did a lot of electronic feedback carburetors change overs to fully mechanical. Kept the early 2nd generation factory distributor electronic ignitions. They were better.

And his saying strip out all of the underwood electrical harness and only need three wires - bogus bullshit.

Look up universal automotive wiring harness kits for stripped out vehicle rebuilding.
8 circuits minimum. The better with 12-14 circuits. The best with 21-22 circuits. $35 to
$347.
All of those circuits were in the original harness. Un-overwrap. Separate out the wires and cut out minimize. FREE. Skull sweat. Sure.

Or by kids in the mid-1960’s who were not yet programmed to believe they couldn’t do these things. But as proof of your second paragraph, I once put a 396 chevy with a turbo 400 trans midships in a 1962 ford econoline van for a buddy. Driveshaft ended up being about 2 foot long. Couldn’t get the geometry right and never got it smoothed out before he got drafted and sent to Nam. He never got home so I never knew what happened to that thing,

that is part of it. The other part is everyone was already wrenching on cars for things like tune-ups, and the cars only lasted half as long on the road. There were a lot more junkers to work on. Then they added both the fuel economy and safety regulations. One needs to cut weight, the other adds weight.

You used to be able to easily reach all the nuts and bolts, and now you need like 500 wrenches and a youtube video to change the air filter and spark plugs.

Ok I am not sure if this goes here or tools, tips and tricks…or just fine art. I must be following too many artsy video on facebook…

Apparently you don’t need an engraver to create designs on steel. you can imprint an object onto steel directly c-1 sheet explosive.

I am posting this here because it is facetious.

I doubt that this means anything to anyone here because you’re all too smart to buy a new vehicle but maybe you know someone who did. Uncle Tony’s long winded explanation about why these devises may kill you.

I saw the writing on the wall working at the Chevy dealership. Bossman got a new Escalade loaner and I said “what’s up with the steering column, it’s shiny like a screen up top?”

Head tech said “that’s got an infrared sensor in there to make sure you keep your eyes on the road”.

Uncle Tony is a national treasure and a wealth of automotive information of just my preferred flavor

Auw Tom, no more please. That second video hurts. Kept me awake. Always shield on and left hand. Nothing will fly in your face. We jump around with grinders all day. The only more scary things are woodworking machines. Still, after 35 years in the woodindustry they scare me.

In my opinion, it is better to be wary and always cautious because it is when we become too confident that we get hurt.

According to this guy, all the auto parts remanufacturers were purchased by conglomerate, that has since filed for bankruptcy and it selling the parts of the companies off. Sounds similar to what happened to Red Lobster. Now there is a shortage of remanufactured parts.

Kind of knew but not at this extent, I think it’s still an interesting video and worth to watch.

Intereresting indeed, they point all the current problems in modern society. From draining villages, cheaper production and of course the social media and AI. The last one will create an energy crisis. I start using it more often, it is very helpfull. And so does the rest of the globe.

Social media might be something to start in another country that might be bether then the Netherlands… interesting it is.

Probably piss some people off but countries are just more control mechanisms that all of us were programmed to accept as a form of reality. Same as believing that you actually vote to chose who runs your country. All smoke and mirrors. A good explanation from 1976.

Right now everything is geared to getting you contained. All the modern tech in you vehicles is solely developed to track you every move. Soon you will lose functional control of your vehicle and you will believe it’s for the greater good. It is already difficult to get parts to keep your non-OBD vehicle functional. You wood gas truck has been flying under the radar but it will not be long before they decide your hobby is actually a threat to their control.
