a pin hole air leak through a weld is a typical culprit. But with as much information as you gave, did you remember it put wood in it?

We’re going to need a little bit of some info first.
Did the truck run fine on gasoline?
Did you build a good char bed in the gasifier?
Did you check for air leaks?
Edit: a good way to check for air leaks is turn your blowers on and spray soapy water on anything threaded or welded.

I found the air leak and smoke was coming out from my grate shaker

That would be a pretty bad spot for an air leak. Probably was consuming all your gas.
