Thank you, thank you, Göran
Excellent video and impressive piece of machinery.
Didn’t laugh at all - like you said - but a big smile from ear to ear. Keep the videos coming
Now I know where to DOW if I ever find the time to make a longer roadtrip. You certainly have bunch of interesting equipment. I would feel like a child in a toy store.
Thank you guy’s, the worst part was making my first video
Professor Baltazar comes to mind
Goran, I am impressed by your performance, not only have you built an innovative machine, you also have acting skills, you have a brilliant career ahead of you.
Thank you for the movie Göran.
There are so many hatches on your gengas unit, what are they for?
Thank you Jan.
This gasifier housing is actually the lower part from a wartime Bolinder’s gasifier, the biggest opening is for taking out ash (below the grate) the “stump” beside it is for the grate shaker (plugged), the hole with 4 small holes around is the air-intake (bolts to an airbox on the inside), the 2 holes on the sides on the air-intake are inspection hatches, these was also used to fill up a charbed around the outside of the hearth, someting that was considered very important on war-time gasifiers, only during last year of war it was discovered that this wasnt needed, and actually could make the gas worse, inert charcoal could react with the hot gas, and make some of the CO go back to CO2.
These lid’s i probably just omit when i repair it now, especially as both lid’s cracked when i tried to open them today.
Probably the best one JO. To bad it is typing so long.
The torch a few post back is interesting. DIY or old and what kind of fuel?
Thanks much for the video Goran .
I watched it twice
That was a treat Goran. You are a very likeable fellow. I subscribed to your channel. I can’t remember what it’s called when chickens use gravel and stuff either.
I think it’s just called Grit. Dinosaurs did the same thing for vegetation apparently.
Hey Goran , thanks so much for giving me the biggest smile on my face please can we have more video’s of anything you have had a hand in building , your my kinda fabricator for sure 10 outta 10 .
It makes my charcoal crusher look real plain boring for sure , i will have to put up a video one day .
Dave
It reminds me a lot of Steve Bowman’s grist mill with the auto sifter he made for it. Separates different grades of corn, cracked corn feed, course cornmeal and fine cornmeal. I need to put my charcoal grinder in a permanent place so it can be sifted as it grinds.
I had to pinch my self, l thod this was a dream. A wet one its just what l built my self a couple of times, in the head that is, only that ypurs works beter
excelent machine. You have now inspired me to finaly build one.
Guys, Gorans acting skills are great but is noone gonna complement the cameraman???
Goran, l thenk you ment digestion/fermentation in the trippes of sheep. But how do you get them to eat it?
Thank you again for sharing
Absolutely good point, the time taken to zoom in and make sure things were in focus was perfect and I’m not sure why but the ending shot was a nice touch. Not like my cut and dry “hey this is what I built today” content
Marcus, my point exactly. I ususly end the video that way, or in a other weird fassion. Like last time, showing you guys fryed pig skin chips. My finger was so greasey l culdnt press stop so you are left with a weird long end shot of a couple of half eaten cracklings
Marcus, so you won’t think that I underestimate your acting and work performances, you are great and your beard is also similar to Goran’s, only you use a different style, accurate, precise, down to the details. Goran, on the other hand, has a more “rustic” style, and both are top performers in their own style, let’s say I were to compare two musical performances, pop and rock, but let me not forget, Goran’s hat makes that obvious difference.
Thanks for all the positive comment’s, im probably not worth it, but this really encourages me to make some more videos
Thanks JO, you’re very welcome if you heading south, i just hope i don’t scare you away with all my stuff and scrap in total disorder
Professor Balthazar? Yeah i remember watching that as a child, i liked it, but my absolute favourite was: Åsa-Nisse, i dont know if that has “influenced” me…
oh the beard adds ten bonus style points for sure! Goran we welcome any videos you want to make. @don_mannes was the first to say to me here on the forum “a picture is worth a thousand words, but a video; a video is worth a million words” there is a lot I understood way better when I saw it in video form. That spring mounted shaker oscillating on a connecting rod is just pure genius and I would not have understood it without the video if you tried to describe it. Very closely resembles a machine I saw a fella make that sorts range brass by caliber and case length for reloading, picked up from his local range in bulk. My hand sorting for the last few years has made me want to some day build a machine similar to this, now i have some great ideas to implement in that down the road build. Thanks again for the awesome video!
Hi Joep, that torch is a old one, i happen to collect old blow-torches, and use them, this one is built for parafine, but im experimenting with using the wood-turpentine i get as a by-product when making tar, works decent, i’ve mixed in some bbq lighting fluid, and a small amount of gasoline, gives a pretty stable flame.
