JoepK. it will be California leading the charge now on just how difficult and X multiple factors more expensive to equipment buy, repair and maintain, and then the shorter life-cycles replace mandatory change-forcing small IC engine bans. Their small outdoor engines IC banning law on new went into effect January 1st.
All’s we in adjacent states wanting to copy-cat early California can actually do is stall, stall, stall. At least not be a whole another State of Oppsi-Social/Technical-Beta testers.
Then AnthonyB. as you say we who do love our IC engines will be Cuban-like extending out IC engines life’s again, and again. Hey for many of us grown and raised true US Rural this is just a normal same 'ol, same 'ol.
With some as in all prohibitions and new restrictions seizing this as a money making opportunity. Bring in from non-restricted areas “bootlegged” products. That will need actual illegal re-labeling as manufactured Before the declared cut off date.
Yep. Here BUY now your gasoline fuel sipping inverter generators.
Californians? Sorry. Too late.
Hi All,
Here is a cordless tool battery internal-cells comparison video to watch for practical use education:
These guys on their Torque Test channel do good comparisons to air tools, and even some hand tools.
This video; along with another one of mixing brands battery pacs using adapters, shows results in needed inputs working watts comparisons too.
I still do, and will do, my metals grinding, corded. Even if that cord would go to a ICE gasoline-propane generator. For the much cheaper price of corded I do have three. And have set up for heavy rough grinding; cut off disc; knotted wire cup cleaning. More grab-and-use; set-down move-on needs I can just Harbor Freight buy a few more corded tools. Far, far cheaper than having to add more expensive battery pacs and chargers. See. The actual energy-power is coming from a Grid wall socket! For higher working power usages just skip the $$$ battery interface and $$$ charger, and go direct corded.
Will still do circular skill saw corded too. Even if long corded to an ICE gasoline-propane generator.
And others; like for-mechanics impacts working I still will do with air tools.
Why? These uses are all high power consumption’s using. You can wear out multiple sets of corded tools; air tools, and corded air compressors for the combined price of cordless tools and thier batteries, chargers when equally used. All aging and wearing too.
ICE generator costs and mainteneces I account for differently as a musts-have anyway. Using it for power tools is just exercising it from set-aside going disabled on me, ever come the Grid-Down need later.
Portable battery operated imho still at best: can use compare to 2 1/2 hp - 1750 watts working needs.
Lawn mowers usages actually needing a true 5 1/2 horsepower continuously can still be done gasoline/oil changes and buy two mowers for the costs of operating one the very best battery electrics.
Just the facts of it.
California gardeners and landscapers now 2024 on, will by reproving this over and over.
