I’m hoping to have my new shop up and running by the time we’re getting closer to the date.

While I want this event to continue to happen I think we need to have enough people interested in bringing stuff to show. If it is just a couple of us like last year who are bringing equipment maybe we would be better of postponing it again until more can be involved. I don’t particularly need more to do right now though it would be great to see you all again. I think we need to have a bigger group who have things to show and not just a few.

So who would be planning on bringing trucks/ equipment to a meetup in KY if we did it this fall?

So I’m definitely not in charge of this just a few thoughts. And I would be down to bring a couple trucks probably and some other tech . If there is enough folks interested in doing it.

I would love to go to this event and I would for sure have a woodgas truck to bring if I could get across the border with it. There would be no way to bring wood across the border for sure.

The biggest difficulty for me is the distance of travel. It would be close to 24 hrs. of driving. And most of that would need to be on gasoline.

Any other that would be interested/ able to bring equipment to a meetup?

So far there are two.

Me with a truck or two
Bronlin if he can cross the border.

Last year was the first time I went to the Wood gas meet up. I do understand the sentiment for making the meeting every other year, since last year’s turnout was low.

It’s hard to know whether that was because of a decline of interest or, with the change of venue some of the old timers, who previously lived closer, decided to give it a break for a year.

I’m thinking it was the latter. The location was really a nice place, I thought.

Hopefully I’ll be there with the truck I drove up on gasoline last year. It’s now finished, though still needs a few refinements. I’m working on making a practice round trip of about 250 miles, in the next month. If that is successful and my transmission holds out then I’ll commit to the 683 miles to Whitley City. I just can’t say quite yet.

I have no special equipment besides the pickup truck.

Either way, come or not, I promise I will NOT, play Chris’s fiddle! Ha ha.
