Pretty soon my woods will be covered with Wild Garlic. I know people that go crazy for those. They call them Ramps. Never did much for me, but I’m not much of a chef. Stinging nettle will also be here in a month or less. I dry buckets of that. Super healthy. You are a regular Euell Gibbons, Bob.

You can make a vegetable based Rennet with stinging nettle. There’s a few wild edibles that make a good rennet.

No, I do not eat pine cones. Lol It is mainly Dana and I am learning a lot from her. We have at least 20 different eatable wild types of foods in our area with in walking distance of the house. Not counting the different msdicinal herbs and plants growing wild too. Also not counting the game animals.

Thank you for the early Birthday wishes. Yes April 30 th is fast approaching. The big 71 years of wisdom for me, well hope and pray there is more wisdom showing this year. I only have 9 more years to get all my projects done until the bigger 80 th birthday and start on more projects that need to be done by the time I reach my 90 th. Wow 2042 it is not that far off God willing.

Well this is the last day of my life, of being 70 years old so Dana, and one of the grand sons went for a short walk from the house. This is a good enough birthday present for me.
Wild asparagus with wild caught salmon on the barbecue for the last day at 70 family gathering. Tomorrow it is German chocolate cake to celabrate the big 71 and I am having fun day.

It rained but I can celebrate my nonbirthdays too 364 days of them making charcoal in the open fire ring in the back yard.
I call my fires a Bob fire instead of a bon fire when people come over. We are just insight of the freeway so I try to keep the fires low. People here freek out if they see fire or smoke a call the wildfire hot line to report it.

Goran, a fire like that would need a permit to have, or all the wild fire fighting agency’s would called out to put it out. And the person who started it would have to pay for it all.
Freedom in America not hardly anymore here. Washing ton is very fascist and control by a far wing government not for “we the people” but for we the rich controling groups of special instrest. This is why I keep a low key on wood burning and DOW truck. Thank so much for that beautiful picture and for all of you with the wonderful birthday wishes.
