Charcoal Gasifier for Generator

Good stuff but expensive…

I can not find the supplier of Inconel 625 barb fittings.
This material is not the last word what to use for a nozzle, but I played with some different combinations of stainless steels like 316 and 304 and the INCO alloys were better.
They don’t burn off and crumble but they will melt.

So stainless is better than carbon steel, super alloys are better than standard stainless.
If you can find cheap off shore stuff…

Also use some nickel anti seize or you will never get them out.

Hi Wallace , if you consider the cost of the hexoloy tube i bought back in 2018 , i think it was about $10 and then $20 postage to me here in Australia then yes $30 is expensive especially when you then work the exchange rate in that works out at around $45 AU for me , but i tell you what its been worth every penny to not even have to bother looking at the nozzle to see if its still in one piece or has it melted ect .
I hope to buy another one some day soon when my new gasifier see’s the light of day , untill then i am saving up my pocket money to afford the postage
Welcome back Kyle .

The shipping for the first one I bought was 5 dollars. The next time I bought 3 and the shipping only went up to $5.45 so it’s worth it to buy more at a time. Price is the same now as when I bought them.

I never tried this hexloy but it sounds like the solution

I confess a certain fondness for the super alloys invented by inco specialty metals division
Mother Inco asked we called it

No one says anything today that remotely sounds fond of the successor company formerly known as inco lol

And we don’t have enough brains running the place to light a fart on fire so I doubt we will ever Invent anything again

Hexoloy is just silicon carbide, nothing crazy nowadays.
