Hi, Kristijan!

Same here!
Welcome to my world, only “vise versus” (the reverse). Took me 80 years to learn the square inches etc and now I come into contact with folks who talk about something called “metric”. I do understand that metrics is a much simpler and better system. However, when someone says, for example, something is 40 kilometers I don’t immediately visualize a distance like I do when they say 40 yards ( or better yet 120 feet) away. So I do feel for you who converse with us on this side of the pond. TomC
Well l feel better now, i still have time till my 80th birtsday
Well, if its of any help, for arough visualization, a yard is close to a meter. So 40km is 40 000 meters or roughly 40 000 yards
Opps!!! There I go again. I meant to say “40 meters” not “kilometers”. That would make my example have more since. Now here we are again. You say 40km and I have to think 20 miles. You say 40,000 meters or 40,000 yards and my mind says, “holly crap, he’s talking a long distance. Don’t have any visualization of how far that is.”. TomC
