Not because you want to solder. But more for back ground. I personally would order the parts because projects change.
This might be helpful. It is for motorcycles but it has signal injection. At worst, some of the values are known.
This is a decent video for can bus explaining what you are seeing. And if you record the file to your pc, then you can analyze or decode it.
