I’m quite sure this guy is not one of the cake eaters!!
If he had dialed 911 the officials would have ordered him to evacuate. He would be allowed to return in a couple of days to find scorched earth , no houses , barns or equipment just smoking embers .
For some of us it is best to just grab the bull by the horns.
Well said Wayne, With so much at stake a man must rise up to the occasion and save what he can. A lot can be invested in a lifetime of work. I hope it ended well for them. The sprit of the Minutemen are alive and well in times of crisis 237 year later. After all, We are our on Warranty when its all said and done…
Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, will you never learn. LOL If the tractor tires are wet coming around, it’s time to stop and backup. I’ve had to use a snatch block before with 50’ of cable to get to high ground. Me thinks 21’ of bush hog is like dragging a dead elephant around too.

Well, I woodn’t believe that V-10 wood be able to get enough traction to pull that rig out of there!
Seems like the tires stay wet a lot this summer. A few places I have been there will be an inch or so of water standing.
Hello Ray,
Once the tires spun I elevate the bush hog high off the ground and tried to rock it back and forth and I saw that it was going down and stopped . The set of forks that I use on the tractor will go all the way down in a vertical position and I can jam them in the mud and inch myself frontwards or backwards but didn’t have them on and it was easier to give the v-10 a try.
I have learned to hook to the machine being pulled out as low as I can and hook to the truck as high and as close as I can. I didn’t use the towing hitch but run the chain up in the bed and run the chain over blocks etc. to get more height.
my wife and I have been painting the timber of our future carport (and will be tomorrow…). We did this at our carpenters workshop site, before they are going to erect it next week. (This way, it is much easier to paint…).
As you can see, they keep their cutoffs properly stored - it’s all kiln dried.
If I was DOW already, this would probably be my woodgas paradise.
