Hmm looks like no one has any comments about hopper thickness

I’ve used from 0,6mm up to 1,2mm , what i had on hand.
Only needs to be stiff enough to not collapse under vacuum.
Some very thin gauge barrels/drums will rust through fast, until only the paint keeps them together.
For heat transfer i don’t think the thickness affects much, if stationary better use thick, and forced cooling.

Metal conducts heat a thousand times better than air or more. If you have a heat transfer interface hopper wet/hot air->hopper metal->ambient air… the metal in the middle isn’t relevant.

Worrying about the thermal resistance of the hopper metal would be like measuring the resistance of a wire connecting two 500 ohm resistors.

Ah yeah ok got you mate makes sense . the rust thing will make a difference for me as i dont wont ti have to rebuild alot as ill be in the road
