I worked as a Controls Engineer with 17 years of industrial experience before moving back to the family farm to try and start it back up after about 20 years of non production. I now run Moat Brook Farm providing local grass fed beef.
I have always enjoyed heating with wood. It gives me a feeling of independence knowing I provided my own heating. Gardening is also a hobby of mine there is nothing as nice as making a stew with all the ingredients from your garden, on a cold winter day.
I am considering going off grid solar for my electricity. Backup power generation is what peeked my interest in wood gas.
