I have always enjoyed building things, studied industrial automation technology(PLCs, Pneumatic, controls). I live in Oregon, am well traveled, enjoy adventure motorcycling and many hobbies.
I knew about wood powered vehicles long before becoming interested in automation technology but my studies and desire to continue learning has made me really want to build this thing and am very excited to have such a large community to do this with.

Idea A
•Powerful (but slow) truck for towing and long-distance travel
•2nd Gen Dodge 1500 regular cab short bed V8 5.9L
•Or 2nd Gen Dodge 2500 extended cab long bed 8.0 V10
•Or 2nd Gen Dodge Dakota V8 5.9L

Idea B
•Economical fast vehicle for commuting and long-distance travel
•Dodge Dakota V8 5.9L Auto
•Chevy S10 with an oversized engine-steering/suspension
•Lightweight car with completely sealed off/ventilated rear compartment.

First thoughts on possible qualities
•Supplementing with propane for increased power
•Gasoline vehicle supplemented with low profile wood system
•Have Increased power when the accelerator pedal is pressed to the floor
•Manual control of some type of boost system
•Temperature sensors with automatic overheat protection
•Way of monitoring amount of wood left in hopper
•A system that does its job quietly and conspicuously
•Fabrication that is aerodynamic and professional looking
•Efficient wood cutting, chopping and drying system
•Setup for collecting additional wood during long road trips.
