Oef, an engine is not build to eat that. Time for total overhaul or still ok?
On the other hand, you are a daily driver :grinning:

No, still ok. This has happened many times over the years. The lumps are relatively soft. Any soot interference in the valve seats will flatten out after few miles of driving and the engine will run nice and quiet again. Only this time I waited too long and there was more soot in the tb than usual.
For some reason I never experience intake events like this during winter. I think it has something to do with humidity.

do you controll consistence of the motor oil?

I changed oil and filter yesterday on both wife’s Citroen diesel and the pickup. Nothing wrong with it. Oils looked the same. The Volvo and the Fergie are up next for an oil change.
While messing with the intake soot I took the oppertunity to do some additional maintence - flushing all the pipes and some fresh hay. The cyclone has apparently been running full resently. Found a lot of char in both rear tank and the bottom of the hay filter. Fun, fun.

Wow, that’s what I call a flush and charcoal cleanout.
