Google knows my birthday… yes, Christmas Eve. A good way to get short changed on birthday presents.

The one I remember most…(or don’t remember to much of…lol) was my 18th birthday which was also New Years night.

too funny Chris… My daughter’s the 3rd, I’m the 12th, my ex wife was the 24th and the son’s birthday is the 30th… all December… and expensive month.
I have one daughter’s birthday the 27th and the other daughter’s is the 29th. I am expecting my first grandchild on the 24th. May have to change Christmas to ‘Birthday Week’.

My birthday is Oct 4. My sister’s is Aug 4. I have 2 brothers born on Sep 3. My Dad’s is Apr 4, My mom’s Jan 2. My parents were married Feb 2. And then there’s my brother Jim, the odd one on Dec 16.

I’m a little late with my thank you, but I sincerely appreciate it. Here you see a really concerned surveyor given orders to report to a Marine unit in Quang Tri to get our security for the day, a tank crew and a fire team of Marines. Chief, where the %$#*^ are you sending us. We spent a month or so surveying ( centerline and 100’ cross sections every 50’) the RR line from Quang Tri 9 kms south to bridge number ??. We started at the C/L reference on the route 1 bridge in pic 2. We found one grenade, pin pulled and inserted in a bamboo “pipe” with a trip wire across the tracks other than that no incidents, but the crew was super awake, lol. It should be obvious, but there was no rail service in the northern I Corp at this time.

This video is not wood power but I do like to watch it . I think with this machine as with the gasifiers the operator is the greater part of the equation . You are NOT going to get in it , turn a key and take off.
I bet the old man knows every smell, sight , sound, vibration , grunt or burb of this machine.

Wayne…almost brings tears to your eyes, makes you wonder what happened to our country and all the good people that was working for a living, good people, good neighbors, caring for one another when need be. I would trade all the new gizmo’s and gadgets to go back and live in the past. Not have to watch towns being burned down, lives ruined by a bunch of thugs just looking for an excuse to terrorize. And in my eyes that is exactly what they are is terrorist. If we can’t do something to protect the innocent store owners property from a bunch of hoodlums when it was known weeks in advance what could possibly happen, then how will we ever keep another 9-11 from happening. How about the innocent tax payers that have to buy new police cars and everything lost. Something has got to change, I am so worried about my grandkids and what they have to look forward to it just about makes me ill. That video is exactly the kind of stuff I really enjoy watching, heck I would like to be the guy shoveling the coal. People back then where tough as nails. Also I think Patsy is the best female country singer of all times, she’s my favorite. Thanks for the video and hope all had a nice get together with family or friends.

Although I agree with you Gary, I also believe their are more good hearted people walking this earth. This site is proof of that. Unfortunately the media gets paid for drama. Good and evil have always existed. The message in this song is just that. As long as we do what’s right, teach our children and grand kids that, we’re on that railway to heaven. Good does prevail. I know I taught my children well, I’m reminded every time I see them. It lessens my worries. They just need to keep shoveling that coal and pay attention to how they’re running their train. You’re that man too. I seen that in your grandson.

Or could they add nozzles to the stack and get secondary burn and put more sheet metal around the boiler to save heat. Right??TomC
The only thing that changes are the names … Some old friend said that to me 30 or 40 years ago. … People forget the dark ages and the crusades and are repeating the same stuff … It was hundreds of years before the renaissance or however it is spelled and then much of Europe invaded this land and wiped out the folks here …

I fired up the third variation of the double barrel stove today and no longer have any smoke leakage on refueling. This plasma arc/ home welder phase of my life, along with WK thinking is opening new ideas. Each barrel is on a 15 degree tilt and allows no lazy smoke. This will turn me from a pack a day smoker to a non-smoker environment this winter. Our 8 year old mini-dachshund died a few weeks ago from lung cancer. He liked Argos. So we replaced him with an 8 week old mini-dachshund female. This is what happens when a lot of turkey meat is available.
