Rain and 35F turning to freezing rain, then snow, 1-2" only. I have diverted some “fuel wood” to the fireplace.
You folks down south brag too much in winter,we couldent take it so we turned the cloulds a little, and lowered the low preasure, too let more snow go your way.Next week we will send some ski’s down that way.
With about an inch of snow forecast hear in the deep south schools are closing just from the threat
If they did that here, our kids would never learn anything.
Actualy i wouldent send a kid too theses schools now days unless you want them telling them twisted training, imorallity. We need too give all the educators from the fed the DEEP SIX and start the political system over,???
Don, I sure would like to know you better. I like your sence of humor
But maybe kids actually would learn more useful from beeing home prepping wood, fixing frozen water pipes and such.
So my (non-gasfied) Dakota left me on the side of the road again… For the last time.
It acted like it “ran out of gas”, but had a full fresh tank of dino, roughly 3 miles into my drive.
I managed to get it started again about 20 minutes later: either by just shutting off the truck for a while; or by jiggling the brand new fuel pump relay and all the wiring connections.
At first it was sputtering and running extremely rough, but it got better with a few minutes of running and revving the engine (which sometimes revved, and sometimes sputtered worse/threatened to stall).
That got me home again to grab my Chevy at least.
Anybody, with a lot more mechanical fixing abilities than I do, interested in a cursed 93 Dakota 318 4x4 automatic? It’s got a current insurance claim on it from my ex-GF’s tweaker neighbour backing into the drivers door. Need to call Geico about what’s up…
Hello Brian .
Years ago I had a dakota that did the same thing .
Hard to locate but very easy to fix .

Hauling wood with wood
Too cold , windy and wet to do much work outside today.
I have plenty of truck motor fuel wood also have plenty of house heating wood so I threw a little wood on the wood burner and took it out on the road side and turned the wood into dollars.
Seems you’ve got some competition, or are all those trucks yours?
Hello JO
The other guys have to charge for their gasoline usage
I don’t
had to do it sorry
Yes ,Paul we call that a traction package around here.
Yes, a couple of feet on the car or truck just means more traction. It’s always cool when it slides off the back when driving. Not so cool when it slides off on to your hood when stopping. Lol
Keep on Gasifiing you all. Just a little practice talking for when I go Kentucky in May to pick up the truck.
Bob
Bob
When in May. I would like to recommend going to Argos if you are going to be around. Also if you are going to Oregon I may be on your way home and could help on your fuel situation
Tom, I’m planning the trip around Argos that why I’m waiting until May to pick up the truck. I might be the first one to buy a gasifier truck made by Wayne Keith, rebuild and modified by Chris Saenz. Show up at Argos in it on Dino and never had a SWEM yet on my face. I hope there is a supply of lemons for me and Dana.
Thank You so much for the wood offer. We will driving I-90 on the way back. If I make trip your way I would love to stop by and meet you. I hoping to get the Wenatchee area people into Gasifiing. I already have people waiting to see one first hand. The charcoal gasifier I’m building is going to be on a four door 1996 Subaru Outback, I think. Still working on the timing change requirements.
Keep on Gasifiing Bob
20* F, clear and sunny here, watched the moon set in the west this early am, no snow forecast, 30’s early next week, rain later in the week. Can’t say I’m sad.
Pepe
Watched the full moon set this morn, approx 7:10 am, clear and cold as a witches xxxx.
Well snow finally stopped, dumped 12-15 in. here. Chris whats the news from Kentuck? You covered up?
We got off easy with only 6 inches. Still a good snow for around here, but they had us all worked up for a big one. Not complaining!
Seen on TV this morning that 3K people were stranded on a 30 mile stretch of highway in KY was that near you?
