In WW1 the pilot was equipped with a hand gun. Just in case the plane did catch on fire.

I’m worried that you are going to give that dog fleas. 
I’m so envious. We have had two dogs hit their life span in the last few years and our current one is in that range. Not sure I have the energy to keep up with a puppy now and pretty sure any new dog would outlive us. Still life without a dog would be hardly bearable for us.

To be honest, I was told it never leaves Sweden and all the pictures without snow, are taken in late afternoon after the summer dusting of snow has melted for the day or photoshopped.

göran, there is a photo of a swiss airplane with gasifier on charcoal…consumes 34 kg charcoal in one hour, the foto was once on the forum, i must look if i can find it in my papers…
the “white stuff” comes from the climate change…never before we have had this in winter…?

As a fan of older vehicles (as many of us here are I expect) I was amazed to read that the EU is proposing rules that will allow it to scrap your older vehicle:
"The EU has something called End-of-life vehicles directive, and they are looking to expand this to become so draconian that it reminds of something that would have happened in the Communist Soviet Union.
A new set of criteria will be established that will decide whether you will be allowed to keep your car. If your car does not meet the criteria, the EU will seize your car and scrap it."
I had an 1965 Austin Healey for 30 years that would have fit the criteria to be scrapped. That would have really pissed me off. Are they going to compensate people for stealing their property? Wow.

somewhere here was a post about in the US they will forbid electric generator sets with combustion engine…democracy in reality exists always less and less…
at least leds all to depopulation - their goal- …immagine what happens when diesel or gasoline is not more available because some reasons…

I agree totally Giorgio. All these climate activists are advocating the end of oil because it is bad for the planet and that it will end human lives. But without oil there will be no fertilizer and mechanized farming. I prefer a couple of degrees warmer over mass starvation. Never mind that we are going into a cool period now (it’s no longer global warming - it’s climate change now). I got news for these guys, the climate has been changing over millions of years, and will continue to do so as long as the sun shines.
What we have now is a globalist class that uses “emergencies” to further their ambitions. I wonder how long it will take to wake up the masses to this conspiracy. And that is no conspiracy theory!

göran, a little delta glider with small engine and a gasifier would be nice…only not flying so high, only a few meters over the ground…we have family, dogs ecc…
what do you and the other forum members think about opening topic where we all collect our interesting fotos, history, everyone´s nicest photos of his builds ecc…all what is related to woodgas…? ( secrets that belongs to WK design of course exclused)
in the forum is all so wide spread that it is not easy to find things again…we remember it must be somewhere, but where? the forum and the discussions are so huge…
if someone looks for some traces, i think it would be easier to find with a foto-gallery, and then searching on the specific members topics or threads…
i personally til now was not able to read all what is posted here, and a lot one not remembers where to find again…

-19°C, or -2F or something, this morning. The dogs are starting to run around on three legs. The sun climbs above the horison a couple hours, but radiates very little heat. It’s all about stored sunshine this time of year.

Steve,was reading your little rant and wanted to put my 2 cents in…was curious what IF… instead of nozzles pointing straight in…if they were say turned to 45 degrees inward towards the wall and 45 degrees downward to create a swirl inside of the burn tube? like a cyclone effect to burn? just a thought…

With all the Charcoal in the firetube there will not be to much swirling to the side direction in the firefire. Except around the Charcoal pieces. Air and gases will head downwards caused by the vacuum forces.

maybe at that point…but the swirl higher up might just might help with pyrolysis of the wood on top plus maybe the swirl flow may change the way the charcoal falls and burns…?..just thinking outside the box

Tom, this is an elm trunk, unfortunately this tree species is dying out, this is one of the few pieces that was still alive, at least the lower part of the tree, the top was already dry.
