Haha I use it at the shop, only think I have found that smells better is some of the Kimball products
Hi all, hope im not posting in the wrong thread or something.
Anyways this âcarcassâ of a moped followed me home today, my plan is to mount a chinese engine, 150cc four stroke, on it, then build a little charcoal gasifier for it.
I think this dog will no longer bark!,
Lots of restoring there, Goran! I have confidence you will make it into something useful!
The hubs look okay but it looks like it will need new spokes and rim hoops. If youâre rebuilding the wheels itâd be best to replace the bearings as well. As far as engines go I like the Honda clone CT engines. Semi automatic versions are fun just bang through the gears.
Thank you guyâs, it probably looks more ârottenâ than it is, the wheels im going to replace, i have some better ones, anyways itâs a decent object, iâve repaired worse
Cody, i think the engine i have is a honda ct clone, im not so good at the types, but it seems to be a very common engine?
It probably is a CT type engine. Overhead cam kidney bean shaped engine.
I should post a pic of the engine, in my other thread, i itâs fabricate was: Loncin
Got the John Deere dozer running, rewired it. It was 6 volt pos. ground, I changed it to 12v neg. ground. Now to get it out of the shop, see if it will steer.
HI AL, thats a mighty handy tool you got there, thats the way too buy them.
Picked up this '76 today. Runs, drives and even stops! 350 sbc, automatic. Did some work for a friend and told me that I can take it home for free! Woot! Woot!
I finally have a rig to put my new gasifier on
In that shape, uninspected, ill guess 50000 Swedish kr.
Its much money in these, even gasoline ones today, they was much cheaper than diesels, only some 10 years ago.
Edit: 5285$
For my local sales Iâd be looking at probably an insane 3000 USD or more. People covet the older trucks.
I talked to my brother about it. He lives in California and cussed me for getting it for free lol. This same truck on the west coast would bring 4,000.
Guess Iâll have a woodgas truck worth $5000 including gasifier. Iâm going to keep this for a long time. Wonât find a deal like this again Iâm sure of it. Unless people start unloading v-8âs due to these fuel price spikes and shortages. On my way once again to SWEM my friends!
Itâs a sign to get that thing on some cordwood BTUs for sure. Not every day you get a vehicle as payment.
A great idea! Werenât the C10s the ones that were sort of recalled because a side impact collision at a certain angle that hit the gas filler tube would cause a massive fire?
C10 spanned decades, do you mean the ones that had the filler cap in the cab body?
I donât recall exactly. I thought they recalled some of the ones that had the filler in the side of the bed as well. I just remember GM getting slapped with a lawsuit over it.
