Thanks. It was an old restaurant grease tank that I got from a scrap yard. I cut off one end for the boiler pan and used the rest for the firebox. The tube is a siphon from the supply pan. The red drip valve allows us to keep the sap level shallow in the boiler pan for faster boiling.

I noticed your arch is sealed, did you add a blower to it? Could have you used both the top and bottom of the tank as pans? I need more surface area. I boil at like 1-2 gallons an hour, and I don’t care much about efficiency, but I do have to change it up. Our arch was mainly just angle iron with galvanized sheet metal and all lined with firebrick, which wouldn’t be necessary for me any time soon but adding 3" flex connectors to connect the pans, would be easy if I did want to expand.
It actually looks like one of the Leader Half pint evaporators. They actually make drop flue pan for the half pints called the supreme pint. All of it is expensive. You did well.
