Ray that towing trick works well but the police might remind you that you are only allowed something like 1 mile on a chain or rope or atleast that is how It is here.
When I was in college in 95 I was part of a solar car club. I had to go rescue our electronic car about 30 miles from school and the college is right dead in the middle of the state capital. Not really where you want to be on a rope. And yes all I had at the time was a rope. Well twice the rope got cut on the underside of the car. The second time we where almost back to the city so I told my friend in the chase car to just go around me and I would follow him the rest of the way. You should have seen the look of confusing on my professors face when I followed the “dead” electric car onto campus as it rolled in under its own power.
