A shameless bump back up to the top for attention.

The chance to on-hands work around gasifiers IS RARE and worth it.
Wear dark thick washable cotton. Or winter cold - wool outer.
Ha! You will grinder/welder burn lots of holes in poly-fleece! ( A mechanical assembler able to step-in as needs-must on light fabbing will be more useful appreciated than just a wrench-man)

Anybody still just talking within driving range should be jumping at this opertunity.
I DID with BenP 2009-12.

We are all on the road to better - just as long as we are hands-on DOing things. MattR, IS.

Thanks for lookin out for us Steve!!!

We did fill this position much faster than I thought we would, I am completely amazed at the response we got from our Craigslist add. I was overwhelmed with email responses and between that and the first round of interviews I hardly had time to cancel the listing.

Hey Koen, I had google translate when I was in Italy it works great. Pretty cool how you can convert pictures too. :fire:

It can convert any text into english or any other language. If you are at a restaurant, it can convert the menu it uses the camera to do this and it does convert the picture. Its really wild how it does this. .

I use it for instructions for some of our gear. It’s easier to figure out what they are saying when you read their native instructions compared to the in-gil-ish they translated it into.

When I was visiting my brother in Beijing a while back (last year?), I had an app on my phone (“Pleco”, I believe) that could detect and translate Chinese characters from the camera in real-time. Of course, you could also point it at a tree and get “legible translations”, so who knows.

If you have an Android phone, you can get it for free, Google Translate.

You can see some of the dead trees awaiting their fate. Combo of the last hurricane topping a few and the drought killing them off.

Nice, should be good and dry perfect fuel. We will tear into the carb adaptor first thing. this makes the most sense where there could be a leak. First thing tomorrow is, we all will be doing payroll, we are moving to a service to do this. Im sure this will eat up a good part of our morning learning how to do this. :fire:

Matt,
Not sure if you’ve tried this but QuickBooks makes payroll easy. I am able to do payroll for 14 employees in 30-60 minutes. That’s me, I stink behind a desk. My business partner can knock it out in 20-30 minutes. All that includes payroll, taxes and ACH deposits as well as physical checks. I just found out a payroll service can be expensive. Just my two cents.
I also understand being in the shop instead of the office.

Yep, Im no longer on the floor any more. This came the first of the year and believe me I am forcing myself to do so. It just has to be this way and I know you can relate there; just cant run a company and work with in at the same time anymore.

Cool deal with the quick books, I have had all the accounting out sourced up until this point. I am now doing this currently on excel and will begin learn Quick Books 2016 this week. I have tutor coming in weekly for set-up and assistance in my learning. Once I learn this I may scrap the payroll service. Its not too bad it only cost me 30 bucks a week. But as I learn more on this side of the fence I may take that on too. I still have to do a good portion of the payroll anyways, I track a lot of stuff. I know exactly how much labor goes into any aspect of the components that make up the products. Lots has changed in just four weeks :fire:

You need to watch those payroll companies. When you match the taxes of your employees, you only need to match State Unemployment on the first $9000 here in Texas, We’ve caught payroll companies that keep charging you after that $9000 and they pocket it. You really need to read the fine print.
