Sorry, it was kind of a joke. There are better ways to run an engine on wood for a bike with a smaller footprint. However, it is the only demo I have seen of an engine running off the gases from a closed retort, and I don’t think I have ever seen anyone use a water filter plus a sawdust gas dryer inline like that. Usually the pipe is just cooled to get condensates out, and the gases flared off maybe for a heating application.
Technically woodgas is pyrolysis gas. I think what you mean is it isn’t very pure syngas.
Yes, correct. Thats what l hado on my first bilid, on the second one l had a scooter oil pump. Not ideal, a oil drip is much better.
Sean, l am affraid thats incorrect. Pyrolisis gas is gas derived from wood distilation. Syngas is what we call woodgas but it has a entirely different mechanism of synthesis and composition.
