The wise man built his house upon a rock!
jakob, not show this pictures…tone will soon feel the need of one engine like this…
Id love for him to rebuild the one in this backhoe. It burns about 2 quarts of oil an hr and smokes like a freight train.
jakob, how deep you must drill for the water?
how did you find it? come it up without pump…artesian well?
my son finds also water in the ground, when he was young he always like to have a drill engine like this
here in our mountain area in the rainy month one can find a lot of water lines in the underground, because the water travels in the splits of the rocks what have their bed in clay…but in the hot dry time there are only a few permanent water lines in the ground, the others are only periodic and dry out in the season when it is the most need for water
Go ours is just ground water. Most wells around here are around 200’ deep.
This one we had to go 405’ to get enough water. It doesn’t have iron in it. Which is a common problem here.
We have to put a pump down in the well and pump it out. Someone gave me this pump setup which is about 120’ long so I can pump it dry in about 8 minutes of full blast but I’m going to have to get a bigger pump to push up 400’ so I’m using this one for now.
How close do you live to where Jed Clampet shot for bubbling crude?
Although they are similar in many ways we don’t have many hillbillies around here the main culture here is redneck. Although I personally prefer the hillbilly culture. It’s much more of an older culture and maybe a little more rooted and less dynamic.
How did you know which Tennessee hills? I am amazed how much of my limited memory contains theme songs of minimal to no value. On the other hand, I’m very grateful that I have some memory that still works ![]()
I looked it up. There is a reference to being close to silver dollar city
