Can I use a high speed 12,000 rpm 60mm x 60mm x 36mm computer fan blower in replacement for bilge marine blower
Is it a non sparking fan? You could always make some sort of housing to use it.
You could also use it as a pusher blower so you don’t have to worry if it sparks or not. I would look into how many CFM it can move before bothering with it.

I will be grateful with your support and the calculation for the CFM
How do I upload or attach the picture of the computer blower fan here
I’m not really sure on how to calculate it, but maybe you could find specs of a similar computer fan and see if they have it listed? Most cooling fans list the CFM or the metric equivalent.
Like for the 3" Seaflo brand bilge blower I know it can move 130~ CFM and the 4" moves about twice as much.
Also to upload a picture you can drag and drop the image on your computer to the text box when you start to type out a post, or on the phone there’s a little box to the bottom right shaped like a rectangle with an arrow pointing up.
I would guess that a 2"+ fan that spins at 12,000 rpm is going to be more than enough for most any gasifier. 12,000 rpm is not an ordinary pc power supply fan . I have some ~1.5" fans from server power supplies. My son uses them for propane forge blowers. They scream. Good pressure (or vacuum) too.
If you really want a cfm estimate, you might take a big plastic trash bag and lash it around the fan outlet. Turn it on and watch the clock. Google says 1 gallon/second = 8.02083333 cfm. I wouldn’t worry about most of those decimal places .
edit: An easier way is to look up fan, 60x60x32 mm, 12,000 rpm. Mouser Electronics has several, all just about 41 cfm Another question to ask is: how many cfm do you actually get with a particular blower or fan sucking on a gasifier?
Thank you so much for the info.
Do you know the speed of the bilge blower.
I can use a 3 inches pvc pipe as a casing for the computer fan and secure the blower at the middle, just like the bilge blower.

I don’t know the motor speed, no.
Ok, thanks.
I will try and do some research to find out and I’ll post it when
I succeed.
this is the blower from a computer server.
this is the link address of the video.
the spec of this blower is different from the 1st picture above, but they are similar.
this one runs on 12 volts, 10,000 rpm
