If these two trucks had V8s under the hood they would make nice big boy toys.

That isn’t a bad deal at all and those are decent tractors a friend of mine has one said he bought it because it had live power. But I will admit I never used it myself I have only driven the older M and H. In the IH line. Well to be clear I have drive newer IH diesels but when it comes to gas I haven’t personally used the number serries.
Hi Wayne K is this year dakota work as good as the 96 and older dakota, or are this same timeing set up, and are the intakes self cleaning or easy cleaning as the 93 to 96 dakotas.? Happy DOW New year.
Here ya go Kevin.
Happy new year .
Thanks for locateing the threads on the subject, I wounder what reason for the intake ease of cleaning is? you think its the intake half a barrel shape it has, or the port injected that makes cleaning intake easyer on the dakotas.?Thanks.
Hello Kevin .
The metal intake manifold with multi-port fuel injection will allow fire to be used to burn away any carbon that might accumulate .
Ok Thanks Wayne K i wasent sure what was why chevys dident burn off with throttle body v8 motors. My first truck was a 1966 dodge full size slant 6 motor in 1977.That old truck held a steady 90 on the freeway back then.
Dang everytime you post these it makes me wish I didn’t live in an area where salt eats our cars.
