if you read there statements… could be worth looking in to it

Have you looked at my tutorial on the Arduino mixer. If you havent seen this might want to take a look, I hope someone attempts to replicate it. Its a pretty easy set up and it works great with the latest code revision.
Hi Matt,
Rest ensured, i follow dy lead…
Love your work…
Q: does your idea support the use of a stepper instead of a servo?
i would like to use the sliding valve for air mixing instead of ball valve or butterfly.
It takes 6 full turns from closed to wide open…
Replicating and using your shared work is on my wish list.
Thanks for sharing that.
The link, i posted, leads to a kit for full conversion, including ignition… Programable…
Also, therefore my interest, suitable for the conversion of diesel to syngas…
Yes we can do this with a stepper, its funny a devlelopment company we build for is going to manufacture a gate valve and has offered to supply them to us. So we may go that route as well at some time.
To make the stepper work however, we would need to add in some home switchs to create limits. not a big deal but this would add some cost and more code. But I have played with a nema 17 stepper and used a ramp up code. I do think this would be a much better system than the servos. But the cost and simplicity of the servos is hard to beat for now
