In the distant 1902, ring furnaces (Hoffmann furnaces are also called) worked on wood gas. I was very interested in this topic and having worked over 100 books, I found old German and Soviet schemes for translating ring kilns and tunnel kilns for brick firing. We assembled a separate gas generator for this business, which I plan to test at a brick-firing plant. From 1 kg of wood, almost 4 bricks are fired. In general, I want to share my photos of the first gasifier tests for brick firing.
