Life goes on (original thread)

Hello David,

In the past when I spoke of fermented beverage folks ( and I think Mike for a while ) thought I was talking about beer or home brew.

Any idea how many will be driving or demoing their wood burners ( lawn mowers ,tractors ) in Argos this spring.

I think in the last six months the number of wood burners in the US and Canada have doubled!!

I sincerely HOPE to have my truck there on wood.

Lord willing, I will SWEM all the way to Argos . . . and beyond!

I plan on diving my old Ford there. I pray it makes it. That is getting a little farther from home than I am comfortable taking a 33 year old truck but I gotta try!

Of course I plan on, and hope to be there. I don’t have a clue what I will be driving though. Truck is still running good (on dino) but has seen a pile of salt already. Trailer hasn’t seen any. I hope I can find a newer smaller truck to convert and get it ready in time. I don’t want to be boring and bring the same stuff as last year. The main reason I dragged the trailer last year was I was hoping that someone else would at least have their front end converted and could run their vehicle off the trailer. I brought tubing and the such so this could happen if someone wanted to try. Hopefully the deer ticks will leave me alone this spring … Mike

I am planning on bringing the Wood Hawg. Hopefully I’ll have the new engine, trans set up dialed in. JohnC, the Wood Hawg will be 50 years old, so you will be in good company.

Mike,
Your not refering to anyone in paticular now are you? LOL, I know your not. I am hoping to be done with the Toyota by Argos. Mike just keep calling and harassing me on Sundays.

AQUAPONIC SYSTEM

I put a small fill and drain aquaponic system in our basement to see how well this fish and and plant thing works. 100 gallon stock tank for fish, and 1/2 of a 55 gallon barrel for a grow bed and the botton 12 inchs of another for the 2nd grow bed. No fish yet but there is 3 plants that are only 1/4 inch out of the stone so far.

Good Morning Mr. Gary ( Gilmore )

Chris will be back in a while and change the post you mention to the charcoal section.

He is in the bed with chills and fever. Said the flu hit like a train!!

Hope all is well in PA ,keep up the good work .

Hope to see you again this year at Argos. Really enjoyed your company last year.

SW Ark this AM. 1" or less. I want to be driving, enjoying the sights.

Can ya believe snow in Alabama !!

School was shut down so Son and I put some miles down.

Got to do some spinning around on wood.

Hey Wayne
Can ya please keep that white stuff up there and not let it come any farther South. Its hard for me to to call up north and rub it in all the nice weather down here to my family up north!!! Snicker!

Neil

Hey Neil,

It will be gone tomorrow. ( I hope )

Down here they close the schools with just a forecast of 1-2 inches of snow .

we had rain up here last weekend… took alot of the snow away… it’s cold today though… front door lock to the shop was frozen and my little butane torch that i keep in my car wouldn’t light… too cold for it too. had to put it under my arm inside my coat for a bit to get the gas flowing

I am not coming along to good with the truck, too busy cooking maple syrup. I made this stove about two years ago, top is 3/4 inch plate, 4 foot by 5 foot. Chimney is foot diameter pipe. Started with 134 gallons of sap made 2.5 gallons of syrup.

what happened to global warming?..lol oh wait you guys must have posted all you hot weather here for a holiday…lol we have been having a beaut’ run of weather down here until yesterday and more is forcast from thursday onwards

Sean, Don, Doug and Henry (sorry I forgot your friends name Henry.)

I was going through pictures and found one of yall warming your hands in July.

Actually Wayne, I was trying to stay out of the sun as much as possible, like in Kansas, so you parking under a tree is always going to be inviting for me stand for a picture. I was burned like a lobster once in 1966 and 1973 on Florida trips. Sean French has two of my line of defenses. In Michigan we are farther away from the sun.

Now that was a fun time Thanks Wayne
Been busy lately rebuilding engines, Very thankful to have any work come my way these days.
