I am lost for words !! If I were you I wouldn’t even look out the window!!

Picture below is covering water pipe the beavers have uncovered to get their dam building mud.

Wayne, You are lucky that the bastards haven’t chewed through your plastic pipe. Liquid water, what’s that ?? Mike

Hello wayne
here’s a picture of what’s coming your way at about 40 mile hr.snows not coming down it’s going horizontal.

Hey Jim,

Thanks much for the picture . After looking at it I had to put my coat on!

The family and I have been going wide open all day trying to get things in order because we know it coming.

I came across THIS HUGE *&%#ING ENGINE online. I wonder how many WK-V10 units one would have to run in parallel (assuming one had a valving system that equalized the draw on each system for variations in char bed) to power this beast?

Hey Brian,

One would have to be cutting and drying wood in a hurry !!

Hi Wayne, I wish we took time in all that rain and mud to hook up both gasifiers so you could see how they run in parallel … Stay warm, Mike

As one of those “southern boys who don’t have a clue” I want to salute all you guys in the frozen north for what you have to put up with on a regular basis. It was 16 degrees here this morning, but there was no wind, no snow, no ice. Actually, quite pleasant, but I can’t imagine having to deal with lots worse than this for months on end. We just don’t have the infrastructure for it.

Also want shout out a big thank you to JohnS for putting me onto the Fireside Friend ™. Best 35 bucks I ever spent!

A man in Hot Springs, AR came to the mill and bought 6 big black walnut logs. He came back to show us his skills last week. A 14" globe bowl/basket with about a 3/8 wall thickness. Incredibly beautiful I think.

I loved to do wood working with Walnut. I also turned some out on a lathe. I could never do anything like this. What a Craftsman!

This is where my Saturday afternoon went. When your Honda starts sounding like a ricer, you may have a muffler issue… New one is all stainless.

Chris, if you did that on your driveway this time of year, you are one tough guy!!

That’s what coveralls are for Don!

You forgot the heat X !!

I had some decals made up for the side of my truck and I have been wanting to get them on and take some pictures for the rest of you to see. Unfortunately, we are having a terrible winter and I can’t get in the shop to do any body work and paint the truck. So I am just going to post them here.
I know the saying is “Driving on Wood” but when I say that, people always ask if it is a steam engine. I have found that saying “Driving On Smoke” gets more questions and less comments like “they know”.

Looks good Tom. Are these magnetic?

No sorry Carl. They are vinyl decals. If they were magnetic I would have been able to put one on my truck and take a picture and then take it off when I get to the body work. The decal is only the white part and the “black” part would be what ever color your truck is. A white truck would have to have “black” vinyl or other color.

Nice !!
