I noticed out of all the vehicles yours had gathering hanging around the truck. Possibly talking about wood gasification?

I love hearing advice from the Peanut Gallery, giving their Two Cent’s Worth.

Sometimes valid points, but noone seems to consider work and time required vs benefit.

I really like to hear the outlandish ones to burst their bubble.
“Why can’t you just use garbage why wood?” Etc etc.

Or “why do you use scrap metal why not something strong like titanium or high grade stainless”

“Well if you’re willing to fund my project I’d LOVE to make my systems out of more expensive materials but unfortunately I’m just a broke cracker.” Is usually what I tell them.

“You should sell these you’d make a fortune right now”
And risk getting smacked in the head by the EPA and DOT for helping people evade road tax, I don’t think so.

Haha, I missed that one

JO, having fun l see
not always fun to hear those improvement suggestions. At a point l got so fed up with them l try to change the topic when new people start to ask about woodgas. Kinda sad actualy.

Everyone thinks they can build a better mouse trap, when they haven’t ever wound a spring.

The only metal a intend or would like too make SS is the hopper, Since i can maybe find at my local scrap yard saves metal for resale/ some thin ss sheet might only cost around 75.00 $ if i can find 18 gauge , since there ss was 1.00 dollar a pound and i only need less than half sheet, Makeng another funnel i would like too not have too redo when hopper starts poping through. Then again i would have too pay some one too run it through there metal roll machine too make round. unless i make square hopper.

I just say go to driveonwood.com and sign in with the free membership and check the site out before you try to build one. There is more here interally that you can not see that makes this gasifier work. I like to also say 25% of it is the builing of the gasifier correctly, and the other 75% is the operator knowing how to run a gasifier to convert the wood/charcoal to Hydrogen and the other combustable gases to run a IC engine.
When I say Hydrogen gases and other combustable gases it gives out a more possitive vibe for some reason.
Good for the earth.

Kevin I’ve bagged coyotes with my AR15, just cheap .223Rem ammo. 55 grain bullet tumbles good to put them out of their misery.

30-30 would work even better I think. Don’t need much more than that unless it’s really far away.

Just curious how much is box of 100 2.23 ammo.all i got is a 45 black powder pistal and 20 gauge shot gun, its hard too hit any thing with my 45 pistal, it kicks too fast.I think i need a post too lean on too hit a target with my pistal.A 12 inch barrel black powder pistal i would like too try shooting.

It depends on where you get it, ammos gone up lately but I think 100 rounds would run you maybe 40 bucks? I can get a case of 1000 for just shy of 400 dollars.

Ruger sells a bolt action rifle that uses AR-15 magazines for more capacity, I’ve been wanting to get one for a bit more accuracy. I think it’s called the Ruger American Ranch in 223/5.56. Or go to any pawn shop and find a 223 rifle, might be able to find one with a scope already on it.

I thought once about getting a Ruger mini14. I think the 10/22 is one of the best rifles ever but the guy at the gun shop said that the Mini 14 starts to lose accuracy as the barrel heats up. I don’t know if that’s right or not.

Tom that’s true for the 1st gen Mini14, they made them pencil thin. They thickened the barrels with the newer models. I don’t like them that much though, they use proprietary magazines.

Hey Kevin . Yes that was a coyote at about 100 yards . Single shot 243 caliber. My Son shot it as it was eyeing some hens . He shoots much better than I ( old age )
