It was the annual county fair day with us taking the two foster girls.
The custom hats and shirts embroider gal was there.
Time for a new statement hat.
My wife has really hated my previous âBlack Hands Freedomâ.
She thought my âFREE the Carbons!â hat was obscure and stupid.
So I this year a went much less obscure or controversial:
It says, âSTILL Asleepâ. Hey donât all old farts nap a lot??
Finished: I wore it the last three hours of the county fair seen by hundreds.
Got a few puzzled looks.
Got some big grins and head nods.

MY dad,step mom 6 kids drove into canida back in the middle 70âs into mossport- with racing mac powered gokarts on the trailer- i remember how strange it felt getting past the boarder- i think they may have checked for guns- that was about all , though they were squerly compared to the USA. ONCE past the boarder- no problems-or as normal.

I like my sleep Mr Steve, no nightmares just all nice and easy.
Recently watching this and making me nervous.
Had a lot of discussions with Dutch John about our golden cage. Why should you want to be free? I like my life in the golden cage.
However, it might be time for some action. I am still happy in our country and I still think it is the best place to live, but we might take a look in Sweden next year. 
. Not for me but for the kids. If shtf, the Netherlands is the worst place to be. But I dont want to make decisions based on negative thoughts.

water behaves the same way overhere. And yes it has to be pumped if it is lower then river/sea level.
The windmills of Kinderdijk is how it was done in the old days. A must see if you ever visit our country.
I hope it translates well. This is how it is done nowadays. After building everywhere for the past few hundred years there must be more room for water. If there is a sudden flood it can go in places like this and then quietly go to sea if the level drops. It is never used since it is build, which is good of course.
Lots of infiltrationbasins too in newly build houses/ villages.
Rising sealevel will become a problem. The rising of course and also the pumping. Groundlevel is shrinking year by year as the peat is drying and compressed. Salt is coming up with groundwater making it even more difficult to make a living for farmers and eventually people that cant eat.
Now I sound really stupid to stay here. Dont replant old trees. Cant stand moving.

Joep, itâs that same nervousness that drove me from my country. Now, in a better place morally and physically, I donât worry nearly as much. Instead of being in the fray, I feel more like Iâm sitting on a hill watching two armies fighting it out on a plain below. There will still be ramifications, but they will be much easier to weather. It was really hard to accomplish this, but then nothing worthwhile comes easy.
I donât think making decisions on negative thoughts is necessarily bad. Stepping off the railroad tracks because a train is coming is being very prudent. Not doing so would yield the most negative results. You just have to make sure the negative thoughts are based in reality.

Kevin, Growing up in the Detroit area, My family would pop on over to Canada anytime. Day trip, overnight, long weekends, etc. the only thing The Border Patrol worried about was buying / transporting too much liquor. Usually getting back home to the USA got more questions than getting into Canada. USA to Canada = conversations like this: " what do you plan to do in Canada today?" or âhow long are you staying in Canada?â and âWelcome!â
Getting back to the USA, used to be: âdo you have anything to declare?â and âhow long have you been out of the USA?â ,âare you all Citizens?â etc. When I had a job in Oswego, NY, I habitually took the âShortcutâ from Port Huron /Sarnia to Niagara Falls area. Saved several miles+ hours over USA route. Never had any problems except once when I jumped lines (to a shorter line) getting home at Port Huron. Then they asked me lots of questions, and made me get out of the car. The only âBrainlessâ thing I did was take the Canada shortcut moving back home pulling a U-Haul with all my stuff in it. Again at Port Huron, I was in a long line, and was patient. I noticed a similar rig ahead of me, they got pulled into the âspecial areaâ and had to start unloading their trailer. Man, I never prayed so hard in my life. I was a model of patience. Thank the Good Lord they just asked what was in the trailer, I was honest and they let me come home!
Now, in the âPassport Requiredâ era, I have not been to Canada in many years. I want to go back, Its a great place! Just not willing to get a passport yet. Soon, Iâm running out of lifetime.
I think STILL ASLEEP and STILL FREE is a great hat slogan!

He isnât saying anything much different then Carlin is saying. Carlin is saying the earth will still be here and rid of humans eventually. This guy is basically saying we will exist after the collapse of a civilization as we know it today. They vary just in the timelines and perspective.

Well maybe not the Kingdom of God yet, but we can certainly do better at âloving our neighborâ, treating them as we would want to be treated. Donât be wasteful, be a good steward of what you have been entrusted with. Carlin is a comedian. There is much truth in his routine, also a lot of junk to try to be funny. Breaks the tension! 
What is left out of both âroutinesâ (Carlinâs and that other guy), is what power each and every one of us has to make life a little better every day.

Since the start of recorded civilization, there have been 100 years of peace without war.
The virusâs have been coming every 2 years.
I think everything is magnified, and we communicate a lot more and a lot further then we have ever done before. Think about it, when I was a kid, it was nearly impossible to talk to people in europe unless you physically went there. Then you could stay in touch via a phone but it was 1 dollar or more a minute to talk. so you might opt to write a letter. Today, I can take a picture with my phone, share it to a global audience and have them see it in a minute.
What =I= see a lot of, is say a European or another countryâs issue being said in like a meme then it is picked up by americans, and all the sudden it is an issue that isnât an issue in the US being touted as a US issue by either the right or the left. It isnât this group of people but I see it in other groups.

Iâve been down with a flu for a week, felt much better today, and did some tinkering this afternoon, this was also the first day in some three weeks with sun, and no rain 
I wanted to re-purpose this starter ring-gear from a big-rig flywheel, takes some time time to heat it, goes faster with oxy/acetylene.
I can always fire up more kerosene blow-torches.
It was years since i fired up my forge last time, now i needed to flatten a piece of pipe.
I use charcoal leftovers from a Imbert gasifier i disassembled long time ago, 70 years old charcoal, not bad at all

Ha! MartinS. all of the city/cities US West Coast are now very blue. A few in between towns and small cities still have basic core values.

Been wearing it all this last late spring and this summer. Yes. Just like the previous others, right down into the woke-blue cities urban centers.
All functioning systems must have energy ocillation moderating systems to not go into positive energy destructive feedback loops.
Wheeled systems have shock absorbers/dampeners on vehicles.
Condnesers/capaciters/resitors elements placed into electrical and electronics.
Hydraulics, and flow systems must have accumulators, pulse dampeners and surge tanks incorporated.
Human systems are the same.
My own Mother was a never settled rabble rousing human element. Rapid forced changing; throwing out the existing, the old, in her value system, was always good. Because âobviouslyâ only then could a new, a better, quickly fill-in the void forced-made and take its place. Radical. Revolutionary.
That is not me. I believe change; yes, is inevitable. But slowly with only when proven in-use truly better (Is no BEST! A fools errand pursuit!) The new way slowing supplanting the previous in a stepped changing over.
So how do you anti(counter) the now noisy, disruptive ANTIâs?? Those who thrive on the energy of emotions? Canât reason with them. Canât rationalize with them. Compromising with them, they will always jump the line; break the deal. They have no honor. Do not understand honor.
How to counter balance them? DO not feed them energy. Be . . .
Sedate. Calm. With at times using some humor. With other times; digging in with a, âYou ainât gonna move me.â I am rock. I am stone. Indeed. You can wear me down to sand. It will cost you centuries. Cost you generations of your warriors. Donât need your woke-ness spinnings. Donât want it. Could not afford it even if I did.
No need to have a hat saying, âStoic Strongâ. Those who know - know.
Know, this is an individual lifelong pursuit.
The same for ALL, always. Your life. Your choices.

Robbie Robertson died this week. He wrote that in 1969. Iâm posting the video here because of the discussion. Governments come and go. They are always self serving and seldom benefit the people they pretend to serve. Life is a matter of choices. It is a test to see if you will stand by your own beliefs and not bend or break. What do we know as simple men? A machine that is balanced will endure. A truth that is now lost on those who think they are in power.

Wow Wayne, with all that rain it looks like your yard is becoming a lake. On a good thought here, you do not have to worry about any wild fires burning everything up.

I donât know about the rain but it seems we are having plenty of thunderstorms and heat. The heat index was 113 F as the storm hit.
