True, Swedish is of German origin, but still I wouldn’t understand any German if I wasn’t taught to. But then again, there are accents only 50 miles away I don’t understand One of them resently classified as a different local language actually.
All I could do with German text was try to break apart the technical words into their root words and guess based on the few which where used in English. I really don’t miss those nights…
It snowed 3-4" last night and is still snowing. I didn’t feel like working outside, so I allowed myself to get distracted this morning and made this.
I made the box last year and didn’t sell so I decided to dress it up a little. I drew a picture and took out a soldering iron to put this moose on it. Hopefully it’ll sell now.
That is amazing. A true work of art.
I just have a lot of admiration for people that can speak more than one language. I only know one unless you allow me to count profanity, which I speak very proficiently at times. TomC
Good luck selling you itoms, are you selling them at auction house’ or flee market.
A friend of mine just sent me a photo I’ve never seen before. My house in the late 40s or early 50s.
Interesting. Was it in your family back then? I see shocked grain in the field-- by that time we were already combining. What are the structures in the field? Computer cameras had not become available when I bought my farm so I don’t have any pictures of what it was like. I would appreciate someone giving me a picture they might have taken of it. TomC
Hi Carl,
What a sweetheart! I read your comment and got a laugh.
I’m sure your already dealing with Tessa’s gasification experiments.

My grandfather built the house 1946.
In the flat south of Sweden they were combining 1928. BolinderMunktell (later Volvo BM) started batch production of self powered combiners 1941.
They are stacks of poles made of spruce young growth. Temporary stretches of “fence” were made to dry hay on. With unpredictable summer weather, getting the hay off the ground helps a lot.
They say these stacks of poles was the reason Hitler never invaded Sweden. His combat fighters reported a massive amount of air-defence on every field throughout the entire country
Happy birthday Kristijan
